Housing America Campaign

There is not much time left to get your posters on the Housing America Campaign,2009 "What Home Means to Me" sent to the State for judging.  To view our 2009 contest rules and requirements, visit  www.nahro.org/poster.cfm.     There will be 3 age categories this year: Elementary-K to 5; middle-6-8; and High-9 to 12.  Arkansas will be able to submit 3 entries to National for the entire State. Winners on the State level will receive $ 100 cash each and a plaque.  If any of the State winners are chosen on the National level after submitted by the Arkansas Chapter to D.C. the 12 National honorees will receive another  $ 100 savings bond from National and the Grand Prize honoree will receive a $ 500 Savings bond and an all expense paid trip to Washington for hissrlf or herself and their family to attend the Nat. Legislative Conference.  Also if they are one of the 13 winners, their poster will be included in the 2010 calendar and the poster will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol.  Don't delay, contact all your residents that fit into one of the three categories and make sure they send their poster (no larger than 26"X26") and short paragraph (100 words or less) to you asap so that you can submit to me no later than AUGUST 11.  I have a deadline in my agency for August 10th. for my children's posters and we are giving our local winners a $ 100 Savings bond also. I'm sure you will want to provide something to the winners in your own agency also.  Hopefully, I will receive at least 3 posters from each Housing Agency to enter in each category of the National  competition.  Judges for the overall Arkansas winners will be the other SW State Presidents that judged last  years contest.
